I have quietly behind the scenes donated my time and my art to assist with much needed funds to keep these vital groups running and help those who need them. These NFP's (Not For Profit) organisations and charities are a VITAL part of all our communities
I have done all of this not for anything but the knowledge that something I created helped those at a time they needed it most.

Free Art Friday was my favourite - once every month on a Friday I anonymously left a piece of artwork, with only my initials and date on it, wrapped in bright paper with a letter attached explaining what the art work or item was and why I had left it there and a little sign saying - 'FREE ART FRIDAY - Please take me I am YOURS' attached to it - at local cafes, under park benches, the beach, the police station, court house, Local Government Buildings and shopping centres.
I had stopped doing this in 2017 with the arrival of our youngest but have now decided to start this up all over again this time once a month (our world is too dark and shady these days) - my way of adding a little colour to our world and giving thanks without praise or recognition! Next time you are about and about, look around you - You just never know - if you happen to see this little parcel - please accept it from me to you - with hope - for a brighter day.

Local Primary School - Fundraiser Gifts
Latest donated designs and gifts for our little ones school - She started calling me 'BRUH' last year and it tickled my warped sense of humour so I designed myself a shirt with 'BRUH - formerly known as Mumma' on it and then created keychains for the 2024 Mother's Day Stall using that saying and a lot of the left over blanks from previous orders!
I do all of this not for anything but the knowledge that something I created helped those at a time they needed it most.

Free the hounds (WA)
Their Mission
Free the Hounds officially launched in 2015 as an advocacy group committed to improving the lives of greyhounds.
Based in Western Australia and run entirely by volunteers.
The purpose is to stop the inhumane treatment of greyhounds by educating the public, providing transparency about the racing industry, lobbying the government, keeping regulatory bodies accountable, promoting greyhounds as companions not commodities and advocating for welfare reforms.
Ultimately, support a complete end to commercial greyhound racing in Western Australia and the world.

Achievements
End Greyhound Racing:
Have tabled two petitions in the Legislative Council. The latest containing more than 18,500 signatures in September 2022. The first contained almost 11,000 signatures in May 2021 calling for an end to Greyhound Racing.
Gearing up for a bigger and better petition for 2024 before the State election in 2025.
Free the Snoot:
Successfully lobbied the WA Government to introduce a state bill in 2020 to repeal the muzzle requirement.
Ban Greyhound Exports:
Worked with Senator Mehreen Faruqi to introduce a federal bill in 2021 to ban greyhound exports.
Latest Petition
On Monday 12 February, Free the Hounds officially launched a 2024
e-Petition to end greyhound racing in Western Australia.
This year Free The Hounds are requesting that the Legislative Council recommends that the Government does the following;
- sets up the WA Greyhound Welfare Unit to oversee racing greyhound welfare,
- immediately ends imports of racing greyhounds from any other state or territory of Australia (except for those dogs racing for a specific event that will return to their home state immediately after),
- puts in place breeding caps to limit pups whelped each year,
- reduces the number of racing days each week,
- introduces a bond for all racing dogs to aid with rehabilitation, kennelling or rehoming post racing,
- implements a three year phase out plan to end racing by 2028,
- assists industry participants in reskilling, and
- ensures all greyhounds are rehomed by the end of the phase out.
For this to succeed they need the Western Australian community to come together and add their name to this important petition.
Anyone who lives in WA and is 10 years+ is eligible to add their name. Please share this with friends, family and work colleagues.
