Dahut Creations by Waterwench© began from a vision to bring affordable art and design to a wider audience, to create a space where people can visit to engage with art and the artist/designer/creator and to teach others that they CAN draw, create and paint much more than a stick figure.
I had retired completely from teaching all art, craft and design, due to ongoing, serious and permanent illness and injury on the 31st of October 2024.
But then a message was sent to me...
And once again - my ever suffering beloved partner of 23 years told me: 'everything is going to be OK and will all get better!'
Now in my
'Show them how to art and they WILL Create!' DMC©2011

Crafting Cutting Machines, HTV Vinyls and crafting vinyls are also NOT a new phenomena, they too have been around for a long time but the advances in technology used to proceed these vinyls has grown immensely over the decades.
There is HTV Vinyl you can
as well as
The HTV Vinyls can be heat pressed or the Craft Vinyls can be hand place onto an ever growing range of material and hard substrates.
The most important thing to make sure you keep in mind is not to just buy it because it looks 'pretty' or it is way cheaper than another brand.
In this case unbranded is something I DO NOT purchase UNLESS I have been given a sample and tested it myself.
Same goes for the millions of crafting vinyls on the market.
But once again...
LEARN, physically LEARN. There is much more to placing that hard work onto a substrate and not having it work as it should have or you saw online.
By taking a few hours each week you can find out and learn all the WHY? HOW? and more.
The cost of a few lessons far outweighs the cost of you losing your shit over nothing turning out the way it looked on YouTube, google, the supplier's website or social media etc...
The wide, wild world of sublimation and printing is NOT a new phenomenon, it has been around for a long time.
Want to stop the cries of
"why has my heat pressed print turned out?"
Do NOT give up,DO NOT toss it all out
LEARN, physically LEARN.
Here are just a few, very basic, common sense
BUT vitally important LESSONS:
This one is free...
By taking a few hours each week you can find out and learn all the WHY? and more.
The cost of a few lessons far outweighs the cost of you losing your shit over nothing turning out the way it looked on YouTube, google, social media etc...
Art and ALL that beautiful word encompasses is FAR more than painting and paint brushes. ,we have been creating art for millenniums. The advances in technology used to proceed mediums and media has grown immensely over many decades, but basic techniques and LEARNING ALWAYS remains the SAME.
and then there is
Learn! Learn that a brand name isn't always the only way to go. I have been given so many samples of mediums and media over the decades and I test the limitations and the varied uses of each and every one - branded or not so well known brand products are something I DO NOT purchase UNLESS I have been given a sample, or actually purchased and tested it myself. Same goes for the millions of art substrates on the market.
But once again...
LEARN, physically LEARN. There is much more to placing the medium and or media onto a substrate and not having it work as it should have or you saw.
By taking a few hours each week you can find out and learn all the WHY? HOW? and more.

And here is WHY...
Some of the other branded and non branded vinyls are PVC heat transfer, but have been labelled as the environmentally friendly PU heat transfer. PVC manufacturing is toxic to the environment & may cause toxicity in animals and humans if chewed/eaten (we know furry and non furry family and babies like to chew everything). Think about that when you have heated up a heat press, heat gun or heat of any type to use with your vinyls!
PVC/PU HTV does not last with any longevity, and will crack and fade after a few washes.
Be assured, Dahut Creations by Waterwench© does NOT use PVC/PU heat transfer vinyls. I will never use PVC/PU heat transfer vinyls to create with.
You can be assured these are ALL premium quality products used by professionals world wide and using them correctly is what learning is ALL about.
At Dahut Creations by Waterwench© I will always believe that art in all her forms has the power to inspire, educate, connect and transform.
My mission is to share my own knowledge, learn from others and bring together a supportive community of artists, crafters and all who are wanting to delve into the amazing and endless world of art. I firmly believe that shared knowledge fosters a vibrant creative community no matter the media or medium. My blog has many things I have written to share my knowledge (and lack of) and the many things I have learnt throughout the decades.
To this end I have created a Facebook group where I willingly share my own knowledge, tips and tricks, the why, the how and the why not with others in the hope that they too will begin their own creative journey confidently and with knowledge that is informed and correct and not a heavily edited YouTube how to video. I also know that I will learn from all who chose to engage with this group - no ONE is ever an expert - we all have to learn each and every moment of our time on this earth and grow from all that learned and shared knowledge.
From materials, to suppliers- I have an extensive list to share in addition to knowledge - the suppliers and materials I use I would NEVER recommend unless I know first hand from using them myself that they will produce the results we all want to achieve when we are creating - creating correctly and fully informed and armed with the correct tools and information not based on sponsored, branded products and equipment, materials or suppliers or that new worldwide pandemic of 'influencers'.
Art will always be - The music I dance to.
